Feeding America San Diego relies on the support of over 10,000 volunteers annually to sort product and distribute it to our distribution partners and clients. Thank you for your interest in volunteering and making it possible for us to continue to fight hunger in San Diego.

How to Sign Up

  3. Receive a reminder email 3 days before your volunteer event
  4. Attend your volunteer event at (unless otherwise noted):

Reminders

-Close toed shoes are required to volunteer.

-Each individual volunteer must register on their own. Parents can register their children just like they did themselves, using the same email address but a different user name.

-Volunteers under 18 years need a paper waiver with a parent or guardian signature on their first volunteer shift.

 

Groups:

If you are volunteering with a group be sure to sign in with your unique join code. Once you do your shift will change from "reserved" to available for sign up until there are no more spaces left.

Court Ordered Volunteers:

All Court Ordered Volunteers must be cleared by the Volunteer Department prior to starting their hours. Contact the Volunteer Department at volunteersd@feedingamericasd.org with your request to volunteer as a Court Ordered Volunteer prior to your first scheduled volunteer shift.

Are you interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities beyond the Food Sorting shifts?

 

This orientation is designed to educate interested volunteers about Feeding America San Diego and current leadership volunteer opportunities including our Team Leader, Ambassador, Nutrition Advocates, Office Volunteer roles and more.

This orientation also reviews current Internships and allows an opportunity to apply and interview for some volunteer roles.

No prior volunteer experience with FASD required to attend this orientation.
